ITALIA MARITTIMA S.p.A. for the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy

As part of the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy the exhibition "Regions and memories of Italy" will be inaugurated on March 31st, 2011 in Rome. Each Italian Region will display its own exceptional historical, cultural, technological and industrial heritage through the exhibition of videos, documents, images and memorabilia. The Friuli Venezia Giulia most representative companies will present their excellences in Parco Valle Giulia, one of the places in Rome chosen to host the Jubilee of the Unification of Italy in 1911.
Italia Marittima has been selected because of its ability to combine tradition with innovation and exploration into new worlds and ideas.
On this occasion Italia Marittima SpA will relive its past of glorious shipping company throughout three centuries and underline its strong commitment to the needs of the global market through the exhibition of the ship model of the 3450 TEUs container vessel "Ital Florida", built in 2007, one of the 39 vessels composing Italia Marittima current fleet.
Each Friuli Venezia Giulia province will be present at the "Vittoriano" with the works of art of its most representative modern artists: Trieste will be represented by Leonor Fini, Udine by Afro Basaldella, Pordenone by Armando Pizzinato and Gorizia by Zoran Music. Besides, at the airport of Fiumicino, our region will be represented by a plane of the Frecce Tricolori, the aerobatic team of the Italian Air Force, based in Rivolto. The inauguration will take place on March 31st at 17.30 at the "Vittoriano", followed by a concert directed by Ennio Morricone at the Parco della Musica Auditorium. On April 01st at the same time all other areas, including the one dedicated to Italia Marittima S.p.A., will be opened to visitors.
